YWIB Online Platform

Young Women In Bio (YWIB) is pleased to announce the launch of its new YWIB Online platform, which includes a dedicated YouTube channel and associated Facebook pageTogether, these online resources provide access to young girls across the United States and in Canada to our educational and leadership programs and other opportunities in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) free of charge.

YWIB is launching this new initiative for young girls who are curious about STEM and want to learn more, but may not live near one of our 13 chapter cities across the United States and in Montreal. We will invite student participation by offering contests and additional activities.

YWIB Ambassadors

Young Women In Bio (YWIB) is excited to announce the launch of its YWIB Ambassador Program, a new initiative for high school girls who are interested in championing and supporting YWIB’s efforts to create educational and leadership opportunities in STEM for young girls, both locally and nationally.

Important Update! Given the growing number of social distancing mandates and restrictions on large events and other gatherings across the United States and Canada due to concerns regarding the spread of coronavirus, YWIB may decide to postpone or cancel many of its upcoming YWIB events and programs in the interest of public health and safety.  Please check in regularly to the webpage for the latest update on our events and programs, or email us at YWIB@womeninbio.org.

Spring Into STEM

Each year, Young Women In Bio celebrates the spring season with its annual Spring Into STEM™ Festival. During Spring Into STEM, chapters host a variety of STEM-focused events, panel discussions, and tours to present to young girls a diverse array of careers in STEM, ranging from scientific research, drug development, agricultural biotech, urban forestry to biotech entrepreneurship.

Given the growing number of social distancing mandates and restrictions on large events and other gatherings across the United States and Canada due to concerns regarding the spread of coronavirus, YWIB has decided to postpone its fourth annual Spring Into Festival™ and hopes to reschedule it for Fall 2020.
