WIB Founders Professional Development Scholarship Application 2020

WIB is proud to present The Women In Bio Founders Scholarship! The scholarship was established to advance the educational development of women by encouraging and supporting education on all aspects of life science. The scholarship honors WIB co-founders, Cynthia W. Hu, Robbie Melton, Anne Mathias, and Elizabeth Grey, who all wanted to provide a forum for women to come together to celebrate and support each other's success, and in so doing created a dynamic and invaluable forum for the local community.
To apply, please complete the application below. For the essay portion, in 500 words or less, please provide the following essay describing:
- What is your current position and what has been your journey in your life science career?
- Why did you become involved with WIB? Why is your involvement important?
- If awarded, how you would use the scholarship money? Please include the title of Professional Development workshop, conference or seminar, date(s) of the event, and include the approximate total cost to attend.
For the resume portion, please attach a copy of your resume/CV and any other relevant information you feel would help the WIB scholarship committee understand your interest, proclivity, and passion for a career in the life sciences.
Candidates must be women, WIB members and currently working within the life sciences.
Applications are due no later than midnight ET on November 9, 2020. The WIB Scholarship committee will review the applications and the selected winners will be notified shortly thereafter. Winners will be invited as a WIB guest to their respective chapter virtual holiday party to be presented with the scholarship check.
