First, Sari Cross will discuss the latest advances in breast cancer diagnostic technology. We then will shift focus to the personal aspects of the patient.

Our next speaker, Saranne Rothberg, will discuss how she detected her breast cancer six years before any scans and tests plus how she survived when surgeries, radiation, and chemo failed to arrest her metastatic cancer. (Rothberg collaborates with and speaks worldwide to researchers, doctors, patients, survivors, and governmental agencies.)

Saranne Rothberg
Stage IV Cancer Survivor
CEO, The ComedyCures Foundation

From Stage IV Cancer Patient to Comedy CEO, Saranne Rothberg's survival against Triple Negative Breast Cancer in the 1990s is harrowing and hilarious. Six years of misdiagnosis, three surgeries, forty-four radiation treatments, and many chemotherapy drugs, yet her cancer progressed. She was chemo resistant.

Saranne discovered twenty-two life-saving strategies to improve her immune system in order to beat back her own aggressive cancer. By July 2002, Saranne was considered to have no evidence of disease by Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. Saranne still has no visible disease today.

Saranne detected her breast issue six years ahead of diagnosis. She noticed a pattern of symptoms that have led her to her present research in early detection.

As a sought-after speaker, cancer advocate, humorist, and medical phenomenon, Saranne is regularly featured on CNN, ABC, NBC, CBS, FOX & PBS. Oprah celebrates Saranne as her "Hero" in Oprah's book "Live Your Best Life." Saranne is scheduled to collaborate with The Vatican in 2021 as part of an international healthcare think tank.

Saranne launched the award-winning ComedyCures Foundation from her chemo chair in 1999 to bring joy, hope, laughter, and therapeutic entertainment to fellow patients and caregivers. Saranne has helped over one million patients, survivors, medical professionals, and caregivers at over 1,500 live events, and many digital events rediscover their funny bones.

Saranne was the first therapeutic humor expert called to Ground Zero after September 11th. Saranne went on to launch UN Women with the former President of Chile. Saranne gave the first closing "TEDx Talk" at The United Nations, in addition to producing the first comedy event in the history of The United Nations. Saranne also taught the first therapeutic humor workshop at The World Health Organization in Geneva and hosted the first Mobile Health Conference for The First Ladies from around the world with The UN and WHO.

Saranne creates unique, interactive programming in all media formats. Saranne has collaborated with Fortune 500 Companies, hospitals, universities, medical conventions, The Military, United Nations, and the World Health Organization.

Saranne has also shared her expertise in many major publications like "The New York Times," "O Magazine," "Ladies Home Journal," "Coping," and more. Saranne is honored to have her cancer journey documented by Dr. Kelly Turner in this groundbreaking book "Radical Remission" which ranked #10 of all hardcover books sold on Amazon on its first night, in addition to also ranking #1 in Cancer, #1 in Self Help/Motivation, and #1 in Healing categories. It immediately debuted on The New York Times Best Sellers List and is now in 22 languages. (Saranne’s immune-boosting strategies were also originally included in Dr. Turner’s research at Berkeley.)
