Irina is Executive Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer at Horizon. She oversees all areas of human capital strategy to drive the growth of the business. Her overarching goal is to:
• Attract, develop, engage and retain the talent required for business success
• Foster an inclusive and engaging culture that ensures innovation and growth
Prior to joining Horizon, Irina worked five years at Baxter where she led Inclusion & Diversity, Talent Acquisition, Leadership Development, Talent Management, and Organization Effectiveness. She was responsible for providing global, integrated and standard talent management strategies, programs and systems for more than 50,000 employees worldwide.
Before that, Irina spent 15 years at Towers Watson, a global HR consulting firm serving primarily Fortune 1000 companies. In her last role at the firm, she led the Rewards, Talent & Communication teams in Chicago and Milwaukee. Prior to that, Irina worked for GE Capital.
Irina has a track record as a strategic business leader, global talent management expert and organizational consultant with a unique combination of deep HR/talent functional competence and extensive P&L and business unit leadership. Irina has led numerous large-scale transformations associated with mergers, acquisitions and divestitures, outsourcing and corporate restructuring.
Irina holds two masters degrees from Cornell University – one in Adult Learning and one in Human Resource Management. She was born and raised in Argentina and speaks fluent Spanish.
Executive Director, Talent Management
Sasha Diskin is the Executive Director of Talent Management at Horizon Pharma. She leads the company’s talent-related initiatives, including enterprise learning & development, inclusion & diversity efforts, talent acquisition, employee engagement, and culture programs to support Horizon as a Best Place to Work. Since joining Horizon in July 2018, Sasha’s team has launched several new company-wide initiatives, including rolling out new values and competencies, an enhanced approach to workplace flexibility, setting the foundation to drive a feedback-oriented culture, and defining clear expectations and development opportunities for managers.
Prior to joining Horizon, Sasha was the Director of Organizational Effectiveness and Change Management at Baxter International. During her almost six years at Baxter, Sasha implemented a Change Management Center of Excellence while leading the change management of several large-scale organizational transformations, including corporate acquisitions, divestitures, reorganizations and culture initiatives. Sasha has a passion for driving innovative initiatives that improve business and people outcomes.
Earlier in her career, Sasha worked as an HR consultant at Willis Towers Watson and at Bank of America, focusing on business process re-engineering and operational risk management. Sasha holds an MBA from DePaul University.
