This event takes place in outreach laboratories at Rockefeller University and focuses on The Mechanics and Ethics of DNA Analysis. Students will learn about gel electrophoresis using the Huntington gene model during a hands-on session in the laboratory. They will also participate in a discussion on the implications and ethics of genetic testing.

Note: Participants for this event must sign up through their schools and must submit permission forms located here in advance of the program by April 30. That said, we encourage parents to alert their children's school staff about this and other YWIB programs and to supply us with contacts at their children's schools to add to our recruitment list. This particular program is open to public school students only.
