WIB-San Francisco: YWIB-SF presents “How to Get into the Brain” - The Science behind Antibody Engineering and Design
San Francisco Bay Area YWIB is excited to host an event with Genentech for students interested in learning how scientists have cleverly engineered antibodies to hijack existing systems to enter through the blood-brain-barrier and be able to act in the brain. They will learn about the different considerations and clever strategies behind this research, put into perspective through hands-on
activities. The event will include a tour of the purification pilot plant and Genentech campus followed by a panel discussion on paths in science featuring professional women at all levels in their careers.
