Perfect for a warm May evening, a sushi-making class at popular Steel restaurant in Midtown Atlanta. The May 13, 2015, WIB event drew 19 ladies – members, new members, and guests.
The all-inclusive menu included wine, which set a festive tone for networking. We then divided into two groups – each group got step-by-step instruction in sushi-making, then “rolled their own” with eel, tuna, and salmon, plus lots of avocado.
For the last step, Eric, our “chef/mentor,” skillfully sliced and plated each lady’s nigiri creation – creating a beautiful presentation of our less-than-artistic rolls.
Each dish tasted scrumptious, and for several of us made for yummy leftovers. WIB-Atlanta is seeking a ravioli-making class as a follow-up, not sure if that will pan out (pardon the pun; can’t resist).
