WIB Announces Our 2018 President-Elect, Rachel Kopper, MBA

The Women In Bio Board of Directors is pleased to announce the selection of Rachel Kopper as our new President-Elect. Rachel has served in leadership positions over her past 6 years of being involved with WIB, and we are thrilled to have her step up to the President-Elect position.

“Women In Bio is more than just a networking organization: it’s an inclusive group of people dedicated to encouraging and nurturing the careers of women in life sciences. The inspiration I’ve gained from working with WIB members over the past six years, both as a Chapter leader and a National leader, will give me energy and focus as President-Elect to further our mission. I look forward to working with all chapters and the Board to continue making WIB even more vital.”

Rachel is the Associate Director of Business Operations and Finance at Knopp Biosciences LLC. She and her team manage the Finance, Human Resources, Investor Relations, and IT aspects of the organization, among other operational functions. Rachel has been with Knopp, a Pittsburgh-based drug development company focused on addressing urgent unmet medical needs, since 2007 and holds an MBA.

We are thrilled to have Rachel in this role. Her history serving various leadership roles within Women In Bio, her enthusiasm, and forward-thinking approach will help WIB grow its impact and influence of empowering women in the life sciences.

Rachel’s official first day is January 1, 2018, however in true Rachel-style, she is already diving into and contributing her efforts with a couple National initiatives.

Please join me in welcoming Rachel Kopper as the WIB President-Elect!

Kind regards,
Jamie Griffin Strachota
WIB Executive Director
